The Documents for line appears on any message that carries docs, and it isn't configurable. Answers to the common questions about removing it, resizing it, and keeping the transaction name out of it.
Can I remove the "Documents for" header?
No. There's no setting for it. Pipeline adds the line to every outgoing message that carries documents, on purpose, so recipients notice the attachments. The request is logged with the Development Team and isn't on the roadmap.
Why is it there at all?
So the attachments and the deal they belong to are impossible to miss. Escrow officers, lenders, and title companies read a lot of these; the line is what tells them at a glance what arrived and which file it goes with.
Does it show up on every message I send?
Only on messages with documents attached. Send a note or an email with nothing attached and there's no header.
Can I make it smaller or less prominent?
It isn't adjustable. It renders small on the original message. If it looks oversized, that's usually a forwarded copy being re-rendered by the recipient's email program.
Can I at least keep the transaction name out of it?
Yes — start your subject line with a pipe character. Type | (Shift and the \ key) as the first character of the subject and Pipeline leaves the transaction name out of both the subject and the header line.
Is there any way to send a message without it?
Split it into two messages. Send your message text on its own with nothing attached, which produces no header, then send the documents in a second message.
