Minimal Formatting FAQ

Minimal formatting is one company-wide checkbox that strips the styling off transaction emails. Answers to the common questions about what it removes, what it doesn't, and why headings stop working.

How do I get the Pipeline logo off our outgoing emails?

Turn on minimal formatting in your company settings. A master admin checks the box under Email Settings, and the logo and the gray box around the message both come off.

Can we remove the footer completely?

Not entirely — a minimal footer stays. Minimal formatting takes the logo and the styling with it, which is what most offices are after when they ask.

Why did my headings turn into plain bold text?

Minimal formatting doesn't honor heading styles. Headings arrive as ordinary bold text while it's on. If your templates rely on headings, ask a master admin to turn the setting off.

Can each person choose this for their own messages?

No, it's one setting for the whole account. A master admin sets it and it applies to every message sent from a transaction.

Does minimal formatting change who our email comes from?

No, it only changes how the message looks. The sending address and where replies land are separate from this setting.

Are Pipeline emails HTML or plain text?

Styled HTML by default. With minimal formatting on, they go out with minimal styling instead, which some email apps handle more predictably.

Will it change emails we already sent?

No, it applies from the moment it's saved. Messages already delivered keep the styling they went out with.
