Pipeline sets sides automatically from the agents on a transaction. Answers to the common questions about how sides are decided, what L and B mean, and why a transaction might show no side.
How does Pipeline decide a transaction's side?
From the in-house agents on the transaction. Listing agents make it a Listing, buying agents make it a Buying, and both together make it Listing & Buying. There's no separate side field to set.
What do L, B, and L+B mean next to a transaction?
They're the side: L is Listing, B is Buying, and L+B is both. The letter shows next to the transaction name in your list — hover over it to see the full name.
Can I set a transaction's side manually?
No — it follows the agents. To change a transaction's side, adjust the in-house agents assigned to it and mark them as listing or buying. Pipeline updates the side to match.
Why does one of my transactions show no side?
It has no in-house agent marked as listing or buying. Because the side comes from the agents, a transaction with only outside agents (or no assigned side) won't show one. Edit the transaction, assign the in-house agent on the correct side, and the side will appear.
Can I represent both sides in one transaction?
Yes. Assign both listing and buying agents and the transaction becomes dual-sided (L+B), with permissions controlling who sees which side's docs. See Manage Both Sides of a Sale in a Single Transaction.
