Data Retention FAQ

Pipeline keeps your data for as long as your account is active and gives you a window to recover deleted items. Answers to the common questions about how long your data lasts.

How long does Pipeline keep my data?

At least 10 years, and in practice as long as your account is active. Data is retained a minimum of 10 years from the date each transaction is created, and there's no automatic purge on an active, paid account.

Does Pipeline ever delete my transactions automatically?

No. Nothing is deleted on a schedule. Transactions and documents only go away if someone deletes them, or if the account is canceled.

Can I get back a document I deleted?

Yes, for about a year. Deleted documents stay recoverable for roughly a year, then they're permanently and automatically purged. Retrieve anything you need before that window closes.

Can a deleted transaction be recovered?

Often, if it was recent. Email help@paperlesspipeline.com with the transaction details and we'll work to restore it — the sooner the better.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

It's removed, and online access ends. A removed account can sometimes be recovered by our team for a fee within a limited window, but that gets harder over time. Download your backups before canceling if you want to keep your records.

How do I make sure I keep my records for good?

Download your monthly backups, or switch to the Archive Plan. Backups give you an offline copy you keep; the Archive Plan keeps your data online and read-only. Either way your records are preserved.
