Pipeline AI Notifications

Pipeline reads your document in the background and tells you the moment the result is ready — an in-app notice while you're working, an email when you've stepped away.

Introduction

An AI run is a wait you aren't meant to sit through. Pipeline takes the document away, and the useful thing to do with that minute is go answer something else.

That only works if you're told when it's done, which is the job this handles. Being told deliberately isn't one channel, because the reason you started a run and walked off is that you had somewhere else to be. Pipeline reaches for whichever route still finds you, and the document itself carries the answer as well, so a result never depends on a message arriving. AI Create and AI Update behave identically here, which leaves you one habit to learn instead of two.

Start a run, walk away, and come back when something tells you to. The email is a personal choice rather than a company policy, so somebody who lives in Pipeline all day can drop it without changing anything for anyone else. And if a notice never reached you, nothing is lost. The result is sitting on the document you started from, waiting.

How It Works

Here's everything that happens between starting an AI run and opening your result.

The Read Happens in the Background

The moment you start a run, Pipeline takes the document away and reads it — usually about a minute — while you carry on with something else. There's no progress screen to sit in front of.

Pipeline Reaches You Where You Are

Where the notice reaches you depends on where you are. Still working in Pipeline, you get an in-app notification. Stepped away, Pipeline emails the address on your profile instead.

The Green Folder Is the Standing Cue

Whether or not a notice reached you, the document shows a green folder with a checkmark once the result is ready. That's the at-a-glance signal in Unassigned and in a transaction's doc list — click it to open the result.

Create and Update Work the Same Way

Both AI actions notify you identically. AI Create tells you when the filled review form is ready; AI Update tells you when the summary of changes is ready. Same background read, same notice, same green folder.

The Email Is Yours to Turn Off

The email is on from your first run, and it's a personal setting — turn it off for yourself in Your Email Settings and nobody else is affected. With it off, the in-app notice and the green folder still do their jobs.

How You're Told a Result Is Ready

  • In Pipeline when it finishes: an in-app notification the moment the result is ready.
  • Stepped away: an email to the address on your profile, linking straight to your review.
  • Either way: a green folder with a checkmark on the document, for as long as the result is waiting.

Turn the AI-ready Email On or Off

Decides whether Pipeline emails you when an AI Create or AI Update finishes.

Who Can Do This: Anyone, for their own emails. This is a personal setting — an admin can't change it on your behalf.

To turn the AI-ready email on or off:

  1. Click the [Gear] in the upper-right corner, then [My Info].
  2. Scroll to Your Email Settings.
  3. Check the AI-ready notification setting to receive the emails, or uncheck it to stop.
  4. Click [Save Settings].

Your choice takes effect on your next AI run, and changes only your own emails.
