Introduction
Software you pay for by the month has one bill, and after a while you stop thinking about it. Software you pay for by the action makes you ask, every time, whether this particular use was worth it. Pipeline AI is the second kind, and a run is the thing you're counting.
A run is one pass over one document. It doesn't matter whether that pass created a transaction or updated one, and it doesn't matter how long the document is. That flat shape is deliberate, because a price that moved with page count would have you weighing the document instead of the deal. Pipeline AI also sits outside your Transaction Plan, so none of this changes what you already pay for the rest of Pipeline.
What follows is a bill you can account for line by line. Nothing runs unless a person chooses it, so documents landing in your queue on their own cost nothing, and a quiet month costs nothing. If a figure ever looks wrong, it traces back to specific runs somebody made, which is a far easier conversation than a usage number with no story behind it.
How It Works
One document in, one run charged. Everything else about Pipeline AI's pricing follows from that.
What Counts as One Run
One pass of Pipeline AI over one document — a single AI Create or a single AI Update. A packet sent through as one PDF is one run; three documents run one after another are three.
$1.00 a Run, Billed on What You Use
Every run costs the same $1.00 whether it creates a transaction or updates one, and Pipeline adds it to your regular bill. You're charged for the runs your team actually made, never for a run nobody asked for.
Page Count Doesn't Change the Price
A one-page addendum and a fifty-page purchase contract both cost $1.00. Pricing follows the document you run, not the pages inside it.
Nothing Runs by Itself
Pipeline AI never reads a document on its own. Files that land on your Unassigned page — including stray images off an email signature — cost nothing unless someone chooses to run AI on them.
Runs Add Up Across the Account
Everyone's runs count toward one account total for the month, measured against your monthly limit. Pipeline doesn't track or bill runs per location or per user.
Your Starter Credits
Every active Pipeline account got $5.00 in Pipeline AI credits at launch — five free runs, so a master admin could try it on a real contract before deciding anything. Starter credits belong to master admins and don't need a monthly limit set first, which is why the AI options appear for master admins before Pipeline AI is switched on for the team.
There's no self-serve way to top them up. We have extended credits for teams still working through an evaluation, so if yours ran out mid-test, write to us at help@paperlesspipeline.com and tell us what you found.
