Pipeline is web-based. What matters is your browser, your connection, and a light amount of memory. Here's what readers ask most.
What browsers does Pipeline support?
Chrome (49+), Firefox (42+), Edge (80+), and Safari (9+). Keep them updated for the smoothest experience. Pipeline may stop supporting older versions over time.
What are the minimum system requirements?
- RAM: 2 GB+ on a desktop or laptop, 1 GB+ on mobile.
- CPU: 1 GHz or faster.
- Connection: broadband — 4 Mbit/s download / 1 Mbit/s upload or better.
Any modern computer clears this easily. The spec is a floor, not a target.
Does Pipeline work on Mac, iOS, or Android?
Yes. Pipeline runs in any modern web browser: Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux, ChromeOS. On Mac and iOS, Safari and Chrome are both supported. On Android, Chrome and Firefox.
Is there a Pipeline app to download?
No. Pipeline is browser-only. You can add a Pipeline shortcut to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app, but it's still the website. See Mobile Access for how.
How do I update my browser?
Chrome and Firefox auto-update reliably. Check About in the browser's menu to confirm. Safari on Mac and iOS updates with macOS / iOS itself — update your operating system. Edge on Windows updates through Windows Update.
Pipeline is slow — what's the first thing to try?
Three things, in order. Check the Status Page to rule out a Pipeline outage. Do a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R / Cmd + Shift + R). Confirm other large sites load fine to rule out your connection.
If you have more than ~5,000 unreviewed or unentered docs, that's a known cause of slowness too. See Pipeline is running slowly for the full walkthrough.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. From Personal Profile → Appearance, pick the Dark Theme. Light is the default.
